"This year marks our 6th year as part of the St. Pio family. My daughter started in prek3 and is now entering 3rd grade. My son in an incoming 1st grader. Like every other mother in South Philadelphia, I contemplated moving my children to a different school such as a charter school or another catholic school. I decided to keep my children at St. Pio for several reasons: the close knit environment in which my children grow daily in both their faith and academics, the seemingly unending dedication and devotion of the faculty and staff, the basically private school education that my children receive at Catholic school tuition rates, and the safeness of the environment - every other student, teacher and staff member knows who every student is and truly does look out for them. In addition to the warmness and the "family feel" to St. Pio, the addition of a brand new science lab, enchanced STEAM curriculum with after school program, iPad availability for every student and smart boards in every classroom has made St. Pio a state-of-the-art school utilizing current technology to promote up to date learning for everyone of it's students. We look forward to continued growth with our new principal, Mrs. Russo. In looking back, would I choose another school for my children? 100% No!
